Grouplove – Colours
“If the color’s bad/No need to be sad/It really ain’t that bad/You’ve still got your hand” That’s the line of the chorus that really brought me in, but the video was what originally captivated me. Grouplove’s video for “Colours” is riveting and felt a bit controversial, you can watch for yourself. I don’t know what the director was going for, but the video seems to be addressing a race or class issue. The song itself, and the chorus seem to be saying that, if you don’t like what you see, you can paint a different picture. Either way, “Colours” is a great tune with lots of energy. These guys are part of that sold out show at Schuba’s, that I have been tirelessly talking about. Can’t wait to see what they bring to the table on April 2nd in the Chi!
