And your ears shall hear…

This video brought a smile to my face.  I couldn’t stop listening to this record when it first came out, but it’s been awhile since I have heard this tune.  It’s also great that they have a newer, alternate version to accompany the video.  If you don’t realize the reach this band has, then the  “Terrible Love” video will definitely cue you in.  The band is not an overnight success.  On the contrary, they have built a steadfast fan base over five full length records and a couple of gorgeous EP’s.  Seeing them live just reaffirms their strength as a band.  The National write pop music that will grow on you like a weed, and everything you have grown to love is even better live.  The vocals, the harmonies, the keys, the rhythm, and the stories.  My wife says that listening to music like this makes her want to kill herself.  When you watch the video, you realize, that The National are not as sad as they may seem.
