Every once in a while a song comes along that reminds you of the past. Let me be more specific; a time before grunge broke and there wasn’t all these different “genres” classifying music. It was just, “alternative,” and bands like Buffalo Tom, Dinosaur Jr, and Afghan Whigs were perfecting their blend of pop rock, if you will. When I heard the Soft Pack’s single “C’Mon,” I was brought back to the days of this aggressive pop I learned to love. A good riff, groovy bass and emergent lyrics.
