The Last Rehearsal

I can’t get the footage of Michael Jackson’s last rehearsal out of my head!  I’m sure YouTube is afraid to post it for fear of a lawsuit right now,  but as I write this, it is all over CNN!  It is probably the coolest thing I have seen in awhile, and makes the loss of Michael Jackson hurt even more.  He looks great, healthy, dancing like he has never missed a beat!  There is a scene where he is jamming with this guitar player and it almost brought a tear to my eye!  Honestly, seeing it after just walking into the room, I didn’t know how to feel!>?  Awestruck, sad, overwhelmed, ecstatic, happy, and angry.  Why did anybody give him those drugs, and why did he take them?  Was it drugs, or was it just too much pressure and work that brought on a heart attack.  There are just too many factors to even speculate at this point.  The main point I can make, is that he has gone too soon!  An obvious statement yes, I know, but then you see this video, and it gives you cold chills!  Yep, this tour would’ve blown him up again, and from this little bit of footage, I can guarantee that he would’ve been on top again.  Man is he a performer, and seeing him dancing next to that guitar player makes you think that there was no end in sight for Michael, but a new beginning maybe.  I guess we will see the video months from now and be able to judge for ourselves, and even then, in death, will he still be on top.  He was playing “They Don’t Care About Us,” and this guitar player was just shredding all over the song.  Meanwhile MJ was dancing, and then he comes over to the guitarist and starts rocking out with him!  God, all these feelings that it brings, I wish I could link that clip.  Have no fear though, because by 5pm tonight, every person on earth that watches the news will see this clip, and know what I mean.  Michael Jackson wasn’t just a star or an icon, he was one of the most talented and dedicated people ever, and he was a sign of hope.  He brought people together with dancing and singing, and just made them feel good.  He made us happy, and we all have a MJ memory, whether we like him or not.  I grew up with him, and just seeing this video makes me said that I won’t grow old with him.  It’s almost like losing a friend, you never thought would pass.  I end it with some Hall and Oates lyrics:

He’s gone oh I, oh I, oh I
I’d better learn how to face it
He’s gone oh I, oh I’d
I’d pay the devil to replace him
He’s gone, oh I, what went wrong

Well, I wouldn’t pay the devil anything, but seeing Michael Jackson’s last rehearsal really makes me miss him.  Rest in peace mama’s pearl…
